Fish Bellied Beam
The bottom of this girder has a parabolic form and this goes as well for its stress-strain characteristic. The stress-strain characteristics of fish bellied beams are excellent. Due to their harmonious and aesthetic shape, fish bellied beams are often used when the structure of a building is exposed as an architectural feature.
